Welcome to Grapeland Elementary School!

Welcome to Grapeland Elementary School. It is a real pleasure for everyone at Grapeland to work with your children. We are looking forward to another great school year. The 2011-2012 school year will begin on August 8th. Student classes will be posted at 4:00 P.M. on Friday, August 5th.

This year we are going to college! Grapeland has adopted a college theme to focus students on their future in education. This will be a super opportunity for students to learn about one college throughout each year at Grapeland. The colleges associated with each grade level are:

Kindergarten Princeton	First Grade UCLA	Second Grade Brown	Third Grade Stanford	Fourth Grade Duke	Fifth Grade Berkeley

I am excited to see how our new theme influences our total school.

As the start of school gets closer I will be sending home my traditional “Welcome Back” letter in the mail. Included will be all of the procedures for drop-off and pick-up, lunch information and everything you need to know about the first day of school. Thank you Grapeland Families for everything that you do to support our campus. We have an incredible PTA that is all about supporting your child’s school. Perhaps this year might afford you the opportunity to volunteer and help with your child’s class?
